The odo just crossed 90k, and I do oil changes every 6 months with M1, and the oem GM filter. There are also signs of some oil seepage in/around the valve cover.
The Cruze and the Focus would be the only two cars I'd consider in that class. I've heard it said that a small turbo gas engine is "displacement on demand". I would agree. I would not hesitate to buy a turbo gasser. By the way, that Cruze delivered 38 mpg (@ 80 mph w/ AC on) in my travels via the pencil method. I was impressed.
